“The Cloud” – sometimes this technology term is as nebulous as the real world cloud from which it gets its name, and like the clouds of the real world you can ignore the virtual, Internet based Cloud at your peril. The Cloud is the biggest disrupter of technology business since the public emergence of the Internet in the ‘90s. The reason that the Cloud has disrupted and continues to disrupt so many technology businesses is that Cloud has transformed the way people work, play and buy. If our customers are transforming, then as Microsoft Partners we have to transform our own businesses.
Teleios Systems has been listed in the CIOReview Magazine’s 100 Most Promising Microsoft Solution Providers for 2015. The CIOReview is a technology magazine known to be a leading source of information on enterprise solutions developed by established solutions providers.
As of April 2015, Teleios Systems’ renewal as a Microsoft Partner has been recognized by obtaining Gold Collaboration and Content via the Independent Software Vendor (ISV) track. As part of this process, QuikWorx has been officially certified as a SharePoint application. In addition to the Gold certification, Teleios obtained a Silver Cloud Platform Competency and a Silver Application Development Competency.
On February 13th Teleios re-launched the Match Dominator mobile app for the UEFA Champions League which runs until 6th June. Match Dominator is a mobile app which lets football fans predict match scores while competing with their friends and other players for points, as well as the coveted spot at the top of the leader board.
In every challenge, there is opportunity. In the current reality of low oil prices, businesses are being presented with the opportunity to increase the efficiency of their operations, reduce costs and find ways of increasing returns on their investments. This was the theme of a recent Microsoft event held at the Hilton on February 4, 2015.
In what is quickly becoming an annual tradition, ten students from the University of the West Indies (UWI) St. Augustine Campus’ Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering visited Teleios Systems Limited on January 30, 2015. The purpose of the visit was to increase the year-one students’ knowledge and awareness of the core five thematic courses which comprise the field of electrical and computer engineering (Control Systems, Communication Systems, Computer System Engineering, Energy Systems and Electronic Systems). The visit also helped the students to gain firsthand experience understanding the roles and significance of the electrical and computer engineer within industry.
In the spirit of innovation and development, Teleios Code Jam 2014 (TCJ) took place on 16 October 2014 at Yara Auditorium, Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business. TCJ 2014, currently in its sixth year, started this year on the heels of winning a global Microsoft award in July 2014. This year’s theme was “The Internet of Things” and out of 74 registrants representing 16 teams, six teams were selected to present in the final event.
